COR acronym[edit]

COR does stand for Canadian Orthodox Rabbinate which is the modern-orthodox equivalent of OU based in Toronto Kashrut certifications in Quebec are mainly issued by MK which stands for Montreal Kosher. MK is the kashrut department of the Vaad haIr, the rabbinical council of orthodox judaism in Montreal. The Kashruth Council of Canada labels their products with the COR symbol trademark. The COR of the trademark is the acronym for "Council of Orthodox Rabbis". It's Rabbinical and Lay Boards are made up from the whole spectrum of the Orthodox community.
