confirmation of copyright-free status for Kafi Benz image and copy - noted for possible restoration[edit]

... I finally have received confirmation from the governmental agency that publishes the publication from which this image and copy was taken. It also relates to the website for the organization.
The confirmation is in an e-mail from the agency. How would you like me to present this to you? I can forward the e-mail or cut and paste it, perhaps at the article discussion page? ----83d40m (talk) 01:55, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Have added the message above, which was posted to User talk:Skier Dude that relates to an image that was deleted from this article, File:Kafi Benz - 83d40m - ccc newsletter 2004.JPG. He is on leave and messages have not received responses yet, so am placing this here for future reference. ----83d40m (talk) 14:24, 12 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

returning image of web site landing page[edit]

At the time this image was added to the article, editors agreed to inclusion - among the reasons were - as an example of her graphic design applied to the creation of an early web site, an iteration that no longer is published, the tiny example is essentially illegible - lengthy rationale is on the image page, please see the extensive discussion there. Here is the

Media data and Non-free use rationale Description photograph of a screen shot of an early version of the landing page of Kafi Benz Productions (2001-2004) that features sculptor Jim Gary and provides a link to a contemporary exhibition of the works of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec - few details are legible. Author or copyright owner I created the up-loaded photograph, made the screen print (but, of course, the subject of article created the landing page that was broadcast on the Internet). Source (WP:NFCC#4) photograph of a screen print made in 2004 by me Date of publication 2001-2004 Use in article (WP:NFCC#7) Kafi Benz Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8) To support encyclopedic discussion of the subject in this article. The illustration is specifically needed to support discussion of the website in the article. This is the landing page of a website created by the subject and websites were a novel item in 2001 and it is noted in the article that the subject of the article created the website for her friend. It was intended to be informative or educational -- not commercial. Not replaceable with free media because (WP:NFCC#1) Minimal use (WP:NFCC#3) Respect for commercial opportunities (WP:NFCC#2) The website was not used commercially, being educational and informative in nature. Other information This version of the website is no longer available and the use of a low resolution copy of the early landing page will not affect the value of the original work or limit the copyright holder's rights or ability to distribute the original. In particular, legible copies could not be used to make illegal copies of the landing page. It is intended for minimal use of the landing page, the image serves only as a general, global view of the early website created by the subject of the article and confirms that its content was educational about her friend and other artistic information available to viewers, as well as, serving to demonstrate her skills. It is not replaceable with free media because there is no free equivalent of the landing page. It also illustrates the subject's familiarity with graphic design and its application to websites and websites of this time were novel items. Regarding the source and author, I created the up-loaded photograph, made the screen print (but, of course, the subject of article created the landing page that was broadcast on the Internet). If more rationale is needed, please advise. _ _ _ _ 83d40m (talk) 02:20, 20 June 2019 (UTC) _ _ _ _ 83d40m (talk) 04:01, 21 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
