Left India 1871?[edit]

Two main sources for article fundamentally conflict. The family history writer gives extensive detail of subject's departure from India 1871; the Union Church has him continuing on in India for decades; the Temperance Publication Dept source has him in England in 1885 addressing a gathering there. Conflicts must be resolved before publication in WP (not after) and if one or more source found unreliable, all material reliant upon it/them expunged. sirlanz 13:53, 30 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your careful review. The reported ambiguity can be resolved from the available sources. I will clean it up with references. Sahrudayan (talk) 11:49, 31 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Clarified ambiguity by referring to several sources including Indian Missionary Directory and Memorial Volume 1881. This article is about Joseph Gelson Gregson (1835-1909) from London. His contemporary John Gregson (minister) (1812-1900) was another Baptist minister, originally from Beverley, who also served British Indian Army at Agra during 1854-1872 but moved to Australia in 1872. Clarified this from several independent sources including the primary family biography for John Gregson (Australia). Hence, removed the incorrect information regarding J.G. Gregson and a separate page shall be created for John Gregson. Sahrudayan (talk) 03:29, 5 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
