Pronounced "Graves" not "Greeves", am I right? --Wetman 13:15, 7 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

This comment is old, but I thought I'd throw in my 2 cents: Greaves is my surname, and in my family it is pronounced "Greeves" ... for what that's worth. I don't know how it was pronounced historically, although "graves" is a common attempt at pronunciation by substitute teachers and the like.
