Understating Ibogaine's Effectiveness, Overstating The Risks

"Preliminary research indicates that it may help counter drug addiction.[3]" It is the only known substance that will stop all withdrawal symptoms from heroin, methadone, alcoholism, etc.

"However, its use has been associated with serious side effects and death. Between the years 1990 and 2008, a total of 19 fatalities temporally associated with the ingestion of ibogaine were reported, from which six subjects died of acute heart failure or cardiopulmonary arrest."

Very few deaths are associated with Ibogaine, and doses taken are often very high. Sara Glatt was thrown in jail because 3 of her patients, hardcore drug addicts, died, one walking into traffic. According to the prosecuction, she had treated 1,200 people. Ibogaine is a direct threat to the profitability of methadone, which merely maintains addiction. 2001:1C00:1E20:D900:60E2:AD15:D7CF:8E02 (talk) 23:07, 30 June 2023 (UTC)
