UK Bonus Tracks are not UK bonus tracks only[edit]

They are EU bonus tracks, also present on CDs in say Poland & Germany despite the fact that both countries have the first album in stores. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.255.250.168 (talk) 14:09, 19 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Second Single[edit]

I think "Gift Of A Friend" is just a promo single for the Tinkerbell movie. All the sources point to that. The source provided for it being the second single also says that she said that it was the theme song for Tinkerbell. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.121.57.101 (talk) 01:48, 3 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Remember December[edit]

Remember December is the official second single. i think it deserves its own page. Her official website's look changeed for the music video! I think that's pretty official.--Justicetr (talk) 19:30, 14 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Here We Go Again video[edit]

Her music video for Here We Go Again is to premiere on June 26th after Princess Protection Program and the new Wizards of Waverly Place episode. This was announced through airings on Disney Channel. I would like this to be added onto the under the single, but I don't have a reliable source as of right now. ShuffleStop (talk) 23:38, 21 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you have the exact time you seen the commercial and where, obviously Disney Channel, then you can use that as a citation until another one can be found. You would use plain ref tags and say "Promo for "Here We Go Again" music video premiere. Promo aired on Disney Channel on ____(date)____ at ____(time)_____." or something along those lines, but being as specific as possible (time zones, etc.).--Rockin56 (talk) 03:10, 22 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Co-writing with William Beckett?/ John Mayer talks about Shut Up And Love Me[edit]

What song did she write with Beckett? Also, today, July 21, 2009, Mayer tweeted to Lovato about listening to SUALM on the unauthorized deluxe edition of HWGA. 74.140.155.82 (talk) 02:44, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am not sure what song she wrote with Beckett, but a song that didn't make the cut. As for Mayer saying that, I don't think that means it's going to be on the deluxe edition, I think it was more or less a joke. He probably has the whole album and also has that song because they (the studio/Demi/whatever it may be) gave it to him after she recorded it and it was mastered because he co-wrote it.--Rockin56 (talk) 03:12, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, thanks! I still think that there's a possibility for SUALM to be on the Deluxe, but what so I know? I know that he didn't co-write SUALM though. He only co-wrote Love of a Daughter and Love Is The Answer and World of Chances. I think William Beckett co-wrote SUALM. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.28.199.111 (talk) 05:01, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
He may have been on those songs, but he did work on "Shut Up and Love Me" also, according to Reuters, [1] Take a look at that link, it's an article about the writing process of the album and about the songs, it was published a while back and includes information about songs that didn't make it. It states that John Mayer worked on "World of Chances" and "Shut Up and Love Me."--Rockin56 (talk) 05:06, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't know that! Well, we'll have to wait 'till next year to see what gets where! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.89.141.44 (talk) 23:55, 26 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'd like to add that the lyrics to Shut Up are online. Possible leakage or release to come soon? 74.140.128.208 (talk) 03:56, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

CHANGING GENRES![edit]

Can someone fix that it is Rock/Alternative not TEEN POP! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.158.223.118 (talk) 12:49, 31 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but no. Allmusic is a reliable source for genre information, and its review of this album lists teen pop as a genre. If you can find a reliable source that claims that this album is rock or alternative, list it here and I will add it. Chase wc91 14:39, 31 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dance-pop genre[edit]

I think the dance-pop genre is an incorrect way to describe the album. The album has six professional reviews listed here and only one of them (Allmusic) mentions dance-pop as a genre and even that one, only in a sidebar instead of the actual article. The five other eaqually reliable sources don't mention dance-pop at all, nor have I ever seen it mentioned anywhere else either. I don't think information from one source should be used as a fact when five others say otherwise. Both pop rock and power pop and mentioned by several critics, so I think they are the clearest way to describe the album.

And although it violates the "original research" policies, I must mention that I think it's perfectly clear, while listening to the album, that it has no dance-pop elements whatsoever.

And also, I know Allmusic is often considered a reliable source, especially regarding genres, but that doens't mean it can't be mistaken or that it should be blindly relied on. After all, reviews are always subjectical and just because one person thinks it's dance-pop, doesn't make it that.

The reason I'm bringing it up here, is that User:Chasewc91 disagrees with me and refuses to let me remove the genre, so I need other opinions. Thank you. --PaRaDeaD (talk) 23:36, 5 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

May I add, that the other reviews do not "say otherwise", they simply don't say it. And you are right, your claim that listening to the album as reasoning that dance-pop should be removed is original research. That is all from me, I will let other editors discuss beyond this point. See my talk page (specifically, here and here) for previous discussions. Chase wc91 00:42, 6 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It has some dance-pop in it...but i wudnt say its dance-pop...except 4 remember december...and why isnt the power pop referencces listed here! i mean if its power pop then list it w the references...i never seem to find any >.> but i guess u pplz have found...if u could add them it wud be cool...cuz taggin the album as JUSt pop rock doesnt feel right( though thats original research, but u get my point ) 24.139.117.90 (talk) 01:40, 16 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Got Dynamite[edit]

Demi did not co-write Got Dynamite. On the CD it lists the writers as Gary Clark, E- Kidd Bogart and Victoria Horn. NOT Demi Lovato. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.8.25.127 (talk) 15:41, 13 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Genres[edit]

The genres of the album are not teen pop, dance pop or power pop. Anyone who has written that the gender of the album are those are very wrong. You should hear the cd and would be best that the genres are classic rock, soul, pop / rock and rock. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.73.208.247 (talk) 03:29, 13 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

WEll you are extremely WRONG! classic rock is David Bowie, soul is Michael Jackson, and rock is Avril Lavigne...i mean im ok w you mistaking demi 4 rock...but classic rock? soul? really? i mean, suure she has a rock<ish> look, and a rock-diva type sound but she isnt rock...shes sorta dance pop, and she IS SOOO teen pop, and power pop...and if it makes u feel better, lots of people belive that power pop is a rock subgenre...but anywho, the album shud just stay as pop rock! 24.139.117.90 (talk) 01:36, 16 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Remember December should have it's own page[edit]

Well, it had but someone keep deleting it... It's an average single and there's much more information to it than what's available in the main album's page —Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.140.223.121 (talk) 17:04, 29 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Can you explain why you think it passes WP:NSONGS? What information is available that you couldn't add to this article?—Kww(talk) 17:10, 29 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I think it should have its own page too, some information like explanation of the video, and when it was shot, and critical receptions, would be good for it to have its own page OAVJunior (talk) 07:03, 30 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It's been one month since I said that I said I thought the single should have it's own page as well, then I'll be creating the page and you can improve it, okay? I won't create it today, so, if anyone don't think it's worth creating a page, say it now, because the last article was very handsome and someone just erase it. OAVJunior (talk) 02:42, 31 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
