Speedy Request declined[edit]

This is a comprehensive stub (best check for copyvio!) of a cross partisan effort to reconcile differing viewpoints in respect of The Troubles. It needs copyediting and the inclusion of sources, and not deletion. LessHeard vanU (talk) 12:30, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hoax?[edit]

I'm really not sure about this, especially as their website redirects to The Troubles. Google cache shows there used to be a page, but redirecting now. There are links to the original site, but it's just weird right now that it redirects to wikipedia --Blowdart | talk 16:08, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The references at the page bottom seem to check out (apart from one, which requires subcription). Perhaps the website is a glitch? LessHeard vanU (talk) 16:12, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I dunno, it's a bit bizarre. Certainly the page could do with a bunch of editing, its written like and advert right now, and there's not much notability there. Printing reports is all very well, but if the reports aren't read or quoted. It feels hollow to me *shrug* --Blowdart | talk 16:16, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It needs a lot of copyediting, true. However the third party sources are good and... I seem to believe I have heard of this group. Perhaps a quick request to the good people at the Northern Ireland and Ireland projects might be in order? LessHeard vanU (talk) 16:21, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Who are you calling "good"? *grin* Hoax is probably too harsh, it's certainly suspect. And there's COI as an added bonus. --Blowdart | talk 16:27, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
All the better to get a wider review perhaps? LessHeard vanU (talk) 16:40, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's not a hoax, just the organisation's website is down. Should be up again in a few days. A google search will reveal the extent to which the org is quoted, howver it is acknowledged that i do not have the time to do a good job on it immediately. I had hoped that others would come in and put their info on it. Give it time and it will come, but the comments are highly appreciated. Hoaxes tend to be elaborate, truth is generally much more squalid - Anguslambkin (talk) 23:57, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
