Until we can get a citation for this, perhaps we can just store the content off the main page:

Half and half dairy product is repeated, with mentions under both the nonalcoholic beverages section and the Dairy Products section. Chips?[edit]

In the article, it says that as a curry ingredient, half and half refers to half rice, half chips, and wikilinks to the "chip" disambiguation page. I was going to fix the link, but I'm not sure if it refers to the British English meaning (American "French fries") or to the American definition (British "crips"). The current article says "Half and half, in Britain, is commonly understood to be a bed of half chips and half rice" but the citation given describes this as "the uniquely South Walian tradition of accompanying any curry with both chips and rice, known to thousands as “half and half”." Personally as someone who has lived all their life in and around London I have never heard of this before and I think the claim that this is the commonly understood meaning in Britain should be removed unless a citation can be found to reflect this.Anonymous watcher (talk) 00:10, 23 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know how widespread this is, but where I grew up (Northern California) we called soft serve ice cream that was half chocolate-half vanilla "half and half." I think people in the rest of the country call this type of soft serve "twist" or "swirl."

This article sucks. Dairy half and half deserves its own page because it is an essential food item of the United States. Agreed, once again Wiki has confused what should be a simple definition - it is doubtful that any large number of people in the U.S. refer to anything but half-milk and half-cream as half and half. Wiki should be diambiguated into U.S. Wiki and U.K. Wiki. Half & Half Soda[edit]

Fat in half and half (US)[edit]

Ale version[edit]

Hardly ever see Harp lager in a pub, let alone know of it being particularly what is used in a half and half. I suspect half and half really means stout and lager. That's would I'd expect if I ordered it, I'd also expect the bar staff to ask which lager I prefer, and which stout if they have more than just Gwinnis. Or more likely they'd look at me and say " a doh what and a what half ?".

Medio y medio[edit]

Surprisingly, (uruguayan) medio y medio is almost the same as belgian half and half, difference if any is that wine is any sweet whine then not only white but never dry, also espumante is used besides champagne, should i write this down on the article? --Neurorebel (talk) 22:20, 3 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
