I don't think this article really covers the topic. It represents one particular type of flip chart - the big paper ones used in school and office presentations - without covering other types of flip charts, like those with maps or the sturdy tabletop flip charts with information about anatomy or about a particular disease, such as can be found in a hospital. It also does not cover flip charts with special applications, such as maps on a Navy ship, or key options on cash registers from the 1980s-90s.
