Just watched a video by Vsauce2 discussing the importance of this work, and the narrator believes this article is too deprioritized and short for its impact. This lead me here, and I ended up editing the page to hopefully read better! It had already been added to and the page generally saw more activity as a result of the video, I really like this about people - how someone says 'wow, this is really short' and a few of us immediately jumped to work on it :) OddlySteady (talk) 06:55, 12 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

"translated ... by K. Codell Carter"[edit]

Before my edit, this read "Kay Codell Carter", but I thought this might be a mistake or a typo ("Kay" and "K" are read the same). I did a somewhat cursory search of the Web, and could only find one reference that included the translator's first given name, https://wellcomecollection.org/works/csu3xevh, and even then it was in parentheses, following the name written as "K. Codell", that also being the form used in every other site found.

Dr. Carter is male, and Kay is a woman's name – though there could be exceptions: nevertheless, to write "K." seems both safer, and accords with the way others write it, including his publishers on their book covers. Spel-Punc-Gram (talk) 02:48, 16 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
