Response to COI tag on Feb 20th 2020[edit]

RESPONSE FROM PRIMARY CONTRIBUTOR (@ FEB 20th 2020) TO COI TAG[edit]

I'm the "major contributor" to this page and have no "close connection" to the subject as defined by the COI regulations published on Wikipedia. Could the person who posted the COI template please specify to this Talk page (as required when posting a COI tag) on what grounds he or she posted, so I can answer to it? Thanks. All the best. FURTHER NOTE FROM PRIMARY CONTRIBUTOR (@ FEB 20th 2020)[edit]

Just to confirm beyond all doubt:

  • I have never received any money, consideration or quid pro quo of any kind from the subject or any subsidiary or representative of the subject
  • My contributions to this piece were written without any kind of consultation with the subject and were instead sourced from the external publications listed extensively in References
  • There is no external relationship between myself and the subject that might be advanced by my contributions to this article, or that might influence the scope, quality or reliability of the information included in my contributions.

Hope this clarifies and please don't post a COI tag without justification, it simply creates work for me. Cheers:Zedembee (talk) 22:07, 20 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I know. There are a lot of those who just slap templates onto articles w/o any real explanation and never revisit, hoping someone else fixes it all for them. The fact you reverted it and they did not put it back up means they are not even keeping track of what they are doing. I think the article is fine myself but be aware of Neutral Point of View and make sure it does not look too much like a "puff piece" even if you had no intention of doing so. (Also, I also gave you one of those standard welcome greetings on your talk page). Someone in SoCal Area (talk) 23:42, 7 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. Earlier today I grouched a bit on my User talk page about this, before seeing the response from you above. Great note on maintaining neutrality, thanks; I will keep that in mind.Zedembee (talk) 23:09, 9 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. I looked at the references and you included many independent sources in both articles which is a big plus. I don't see why anyone should have a problem here. Someone in SoCal Area (talk) 00:42, 10 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Appreciated. Wishing you good health and toilet paper. Zedembee (talk) 01:13, 10 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
