Intelligence Citations Bibliography for Articles Related to IQ Testing[edit]

Course project edits[edit]

I will be editing this article for my Social Psychology class at Simon's Rock. After the final edits, this article will have the meaning of effort optimism, how it relates to Social Psychology, and how this is seen in the modern world. There really aren't many references that are related to this topic, however I have found a couple that can be used. As the article already states now, the main use of this topic is to study the educational gap between majority and minority groups, however, I do believe that another use can be found for it. Possible Edits[edit]

This article has a great start, but there's a few things that could be done in order to improve its content. First, sources should be reformatted to APA style and put under a "references" header rather than a "notes" header. Be mindful of avoiding definite language - we generally want to avoid that in psych. Perhaps expand on the development of effort optimism as a theory, and how individuals come to obtain effort optimism. Additionally, you could look into common critiques of the theory and ways in which to promote effort optimism in disadvantaged or marginalized groups. That last section is abysmal, no sources, opinion piece, bad grammar. This is the type of thing that makes wikipedia look bad. Can we get somebody with some basic scientific writing knowledge to redo this page? As is it's about high school level. The comment above me has good pointers.
