Not enough on product itself[edit]

Theres very little about the actual software and lots about how it bought down infocom.

I have only very fond but distant memories about this splendid system. Does anyone have a running system? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.64.101.170 (talkcontribs)

I had 40 branches running on it back in the early 90's. Great program for the time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.236.157.225 (talkcontribs)

I purchased the Cornerstone Database in 1986 and have used it extensively. It worked fine up through Windows 95. Then when I upgraded to Windows 98 it crashed on some and worked on others. I still have a Windows 95 and a Windows 98 machine still running it. Anyone know how to make it work on "XP". Cwstrick (talk) 19:32, 10 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The challenge is finding reliable resources that discuss the system. One reliable source talked a lot about how it brought down the company, hence our article does too. — Frεcklεfσσt | Talk 16:46, 11 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It doesn't much like modern systems, but it will happily run under DOSbox — I discovered this last year after the 1980s machine I used to run it on decided to start acting up. 80.168.60.202 (talk) 16:03, 17 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Source[edit]

I'm sure most of the information in this article came from Down From the Top of Its Game: The Story of Infocom, Inc. (an excellent, detailed article). How do we indicate that all the info is from there, without sounding like a broken record? Just page numbers within the source? — Frεcklεfσσt | Talk 20:39, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
