Explanation of edit[edit]

The article recently acquired a serious case of external-link-itis, peacock words, and a promotional advertising slant by an IP editor who it seems works with the company (COI) — as evidenced by this edit which added the words "to a mainstream audience through our nuanced, solutions-oriented reporting" and "since our inception and "and our stories appear in daily news round-ups". Every wikilink in the article had been removed; most were replaced by an external link to the civileats.com website. I trimmed out everything that was peacock and WP:OR. I made sure that everything remaining had an appropriate citation, but I did not attempt to rebuild the article. Platonk (talk) 06:48, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Very similar language, with fewer external links or first-person pronouns, appears in this edit, I've reverted it and warned the IP. Rusalkii (talk) 16:11, 24 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
