Nomenclature[edit]

Please note that the official name of the game according to the company web site is "City of Heroes Roleplaying Game". It's not "City of Heroes" (role-playing game). Hence I undid the title change to the article previously inserted. Dugwiki 23:01, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a way to put this back on the first page? Like through the Redirect page it was sent through? Ryulong 22:38, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, the actual title of the game is 'City of Heroes Roleplaying Game', with "Roleplaying" all one word. So that ought to be the base page, since it's the official name of the product. Other pages could redirect to it. Is there a reason it needs to change that I'm overlooking?

(P.S. Nice image of the game cover, by the way. :) ) Dugwiki 23:01, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WP:RPG thought that the name was different, so a member of that project decided to move the page. And thank you about the game cover. It'll suffice until the actual game is released and other books are relased. Ryulong 23:10, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It was just me that though the name was different, not the whole of the WP:RPG. Though, if you do a search based on the 1-933105-11-9 of the product, the official title appears to be "City of Heroes Rpg Registraton Manual".
I hope you don't mind that I cleaned up the indents of your discussion based on the Talk page guidelinesAsatruer 23:18, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, meant that someone through it. Anyway, all of the current released covers and what not refer to it as the "City of Heroes Roleplaying Game" (see the picture I uploaded, as well as Eden Studios' site for it).
FYI, in addition to the image of the actual cover of the manuals, the official website product section lists the two main game books as "City of Heroes Roleplaying Game Registration Manual" and "City of Heroes Roleplaying Game Paragon City Operative Manual" respectively. So it appears both on the actual covers and in the official press releases under that name. Dugwiki 15:37, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Info Box Image Size[edit]

According to Template:Infobox RPG "A recommended size for cover images is a width of 200px, or somewhat smaller."
By that standard 200px is not overlarge. —Asatruer 14:31, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Beg your pardon; hadn't seen that. Objection withdrawn. Percy Snoodle 11:08, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A Future Template?[edit]

I wanted to add a template similar to {{future game}} or {{future book}}, but there doesn't appear to be one for RPG books. Is there any other way we can tag this page? Ryulong 19:53, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tried AfD, Nevermind[edit]

I think the notability of this having it's own page is questionable, whereas the Collector Card product was brought to fruition then cancelled, the RPG game had a preview release then went into development hell. Would this be better served as a paragraph in the main City of Heroes article and delete this page? (I'd initiate the process, but anonymous editors can't use AfD apparently.) 209.180.155.12 (talk) 05:40, 3 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. Considering that nothing ever came of this – and now that the parent game has been extinguished, nothing ever will come of it, unless someone can convince NCSoft to release ownership of the IP or license it to another developer – it does not warrant an article of its own. Placing a merge template. 12.233.146.130 (talk) 02:06, 7 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
