This article should be split into two[edit]

This article may be about the former Chelsea constituency, but it was so different before the 1885 election that it would make sense to split it into two articles: Chelsea (two-seat UK Parliament constituency) and Chelsea (one-seat UK Parliament constituency).

From 1868 to 1885, the Chelsea constituency sent two members to Parliament and comprised Chelsea, Fulham, Hammersmith and Kensington. But just before the 1885 election it was split into five single-member constituencies: Chelsea, Fulham, Hammersmith, Kensington North and Kensington South.

As most of the text refers to the 1885–1997 period, I suggest a new article about the 1868-1885 two-seat constituency is created, Chelsea (two-seat UK Parliament constituency), and that all text that refers to that period and the time before it is moved to that article, while this article is renamed Chelsea (one-seat UK Parliament constituency).

This would also make it much easier to link the articles about the Fulham, Hammersmith, Kensington North and Kensington South constituencies backwards. Currently they end up here, to an article mainly devoted to the period when those consisted existed in parallell with Chelsea.
