Liberty Orchards[edit]

Although it may be difficult to maintain an NPOV approach, I think any encyclopedia entry on Cashmere of more than a few paragraphs which does not mention Liberty Orchards is deficient. It will certainly not be unmentioned in the eowiki article I'll be writing sometime soon. --Haruo (talk) 17:38, 31 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Any mention of Liberty Orchards relationship to Cashmere should also include the company's threat to move its business in 1997 to nearby Leavenworth. Under this threat, they coerced the City Council to rename one main street Aplets Way. The town was also branded with the official motto "Home of Aplets and Cotlets". Applets and Cotlets are the main product of Liberty Orchards. [1] These changes (and others like them) are important to mention as they significantly influence the overall character of the small town.

For future expansion/spin-off of Cashmere's 9/11 Spirit of America Memorial[edit]

Hey everyone!

News article here - [1]

Personally feel that there could be a spin-off page about the memorial, so anyone interested in the future, please use the news article above. Goes into detail about the inspiration, how it was turned down for placement at the Olympia capitol grounds, and more nuance into the meanings and purpose and function (joining your hands with the sculpture completes the circle...Kleenex anyone?!). Not from Cashmere and only visited the community a year before it was installed, so a boots-on-the-ground (or a sculpture/history expert) would be a better editor to tackle this.
