Notability[edit]

Please explain why notability is not an issue? This seems to be a vanity page. Poorly written, no third party references, nothing notable mentioned. --Editor2020 (talk) 21:01, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • This is not a vanity page, although not well written. When it comes to notability, Calif Records is currently leading the Kenyan entertainment scene. Just visit Nairobi and you'll know what I mean. They have several popular artists, most notably Jua Cali, who was last year nominated for MTV Europe Music Awards and MOBO Awards, not to mention dozens of local awards won by him and other Calif artistes. Thanks for the info. Could you add some references from Kenyan media?--Editor2020 (talk) 19:56, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I plan to cleanup this page and add references one day (currently I'm too busy...). Three Kenyan newspapers do have websites, namely Daily Nation, The Standard and Kenya Times, and they do write about Kenyan music, particularly on weekends. None of them have good archives, and digging up reliable sources demands some determined research. Julius Sahara (talk) 15:52, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
