Despite its importance, there is scant material on the web regarding CAT. There is material on a company called Graphic Systems (the name of CAT's builder), but it doesn't describe it as a manufacturer of typesetting equipment.

Graphic Systems, Inc. designer and manufacture of the C/A/T phototypesetter was in business in Massachusetts in 1972 until the company was purchased by Wang Laboratories in 1978.
I am uncertain of when Graphic Systems, Inc. started business. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Corporation Division, has no searchable records that include this particular company.
