slang[edit]

"butterball" is also a slang British term for an overweight person (usually male child)

Butterball is no longer part of ConAgra[edit]

Controversy[edit]

Reading the PETA references, PETA is in no way accusing the Butterball company of promoting abusive practices. Does the controversy section belong here, or on its own article? --Measure 23:05, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I hereby propose that we eliminate the controversy section from this article, on the grounds that PETA has in no way implicated Butterball in their complaint, or even in their press releases surrounding the complaint.
