bitchx.com removal[edit]

http://bitchx.org states

PLEASE NOTE THAT BITCHX.COM IS NOW OWNED BY A SNEAKY LITTLE CONSULTANT TYPE WHO PURCHASED THE DOMAIN AND IS USING THE NAME AND THE APPEARANCE OF A LEGITIMATE PAGE TO GARNER BUSINESS, AND AS SUCH IS NOT AN OFFICIAL DISTRIBUTION SITE.

There has been a lot of controversy around BitchX and its development/licensing/politics, but I don't want to fire all that up here (you can get a sniff of it from the Freshmeat page), but the upshot is that BitchX.com is outside the control of the project and probably shouldn't be linked from the Wiki.

And so I did. -- skiidoo (talk) 11:07, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Name origin[edit]

I think a more notable use of BitchX was that it was the pseudonym of the editor of the premiere computer game industry gossip website of its day. I read and followed BitchX for years. Comet Tuttle (talk) 18:11, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
