Prymat sp. z o. o. (formerly Prima) is a Polish company established in 1983, specializing in the production of spices and fruit and vegetable processing. The company produces products for the retail market, industry and the HoReCa sector (Hotels, Restaurants, Catering). In January 2023, the company employed 1,124 employees in several plants located in 4 countries.[2] The company's headquarters is located in Jastrzębie-Zdrój in the Silesian Voivodeship.[3] The company manages the following brands: Prymat, Kucharek, To Naturalne, Izmester, Lacikonyha, Cavalcad, Smak, Asta, Avokádo, Nadir and Prymat GastroLine.[4][5][6][7]

History[edit]

  • 1983 – the beginning of the Prymat Group's operations, originally under the name Prima, production of spices and food concentrates.[4][2]
  • 1995 – registration of the Prymat brand, beginning of the production of Kucharek spice.[2]
  • 1999 – start of production for the HoReCa sector.[2]
  • 2006 – change of the logo's graphic design, chef Robert Sowa becomes the company's ambassador.[2]
  • 2007 – Prymat takes over the Czech company Pěkný-Unimex, which produces spices.[2]
  • 2008 – the company completed the implementation of the SAP IT production system.[2]
  • 2009 – takeover of the Polish company Smak, dealing in fruit and vegetable processing.[2]
  • 2012 – new graphic design.[2]
  • 2017 – acquisition of Lacikonyha Magyarország Kft., a Hungarian company producing spices; acquisition of the producer of spices for the industry Kulinaria SA.[2]
  • 2019 – a new company was established on the German market – Prymat International GmbH.[2]
  • 2023 – change of packaging for Prymat brand products.[2]
