Asrar Rashid is a British Islamic scholar, author, and translator of classical Islamic texts. He is a staunch defender of the schools of classical Sunni Islam,[1] adhering to the Ash'ari creed himself.[2] He is also outspoken against Zionism.[3]

Religious Education[edit]

He began his studies in Birmingham,[4] under the tutelage of Shaykh Rasul Baksh Sai'di, before advancing to studying in Damascus, specifically at the Grand Umayyad Mosque.[5]

From amongst his teachers are the likes of Shaykh Nur al-Din 'Itr, Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi and Shaykh Abbas ibn 'Alawi al-Maliki.

Intellectual Intifada[edit]

In 2023, Asrar Rashid authored Intellectual Intifada: Blueprint for Restoring the Caliphate.

The title Intellectual Intifada was first coined by the author, Asrar Rashid, in September 2023, prior to the events of October 7th.
