Zeta Mu Gamma (ΖΜΓ) is a high school fraternity established in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. It was established in 1943.

History[edit]

Zeta Mu Gamma was established in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico on March 12, 1943. Its founding members included:

  • Dr. Rafael Toro Nazario
  • Dr. Carlos Romaguera
  • Prof. Fernando Cofresí
  • Dr. Juan José Ramírez
  • Dr. Ramón Gil
  • Dr. Rafael Collazo
  • Dr. William Aguiló
  • Gen. Enrique Mendez Jr.
  • Dr. Henry Dorington
  • Dr. José A. Aguiló Dies
  • Amador Ramírez Silva
  • Roberto Fumero

The fraternity is not affiliated with any particular high school. Presently, it is the only high school fraternity left at Mayagüez and one of two left on Puerto Rico. The organization is famous for its annual White Christmas Party in December that it hosts with Joy Seekers sorority.

Symbols[edit]

The fraternity's colors are brown and gold. Its motto is Labor Omnia Vincit or "Work conquers all".

Membership[edit]

To join Zeta Mu Gamma , a student must live in the city of Mayagüez or study in one of its high schools, unless their father or brother is a member of the fraternity. Prospective members must be between the ages of thirteen to eighteen or between ninth to twelve grades.
