Thoughts[edit]

  • Once we start getting date-specific ones, they should probably be marked as such with a footnote or something like D / DS
  • Place of interest might be a viable column too, both to help the directors schedule future list, and to spot trends.

It's worth noting that the image for 27th June got 5.7k hits: 2.2k more than the article itself. I'd suggest that the particularly low hit count this week was in part due to it being about Cuba, but partly to do with the lack of length and enticement of the bolded link. July looks set to be a far better for hits: all four lists are relatively populist for one reason and another. —WFC— 15:38, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That's a fair point. We should learn from it, perhaps putting more effort into making the blurb into a superhook... The Rambling Man (talk) 16:06, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Something else mildly interesting[edit]

Hello all. I looked at the viewing stats on WP:FLC for June 2011. Prior to TFL existing (June 12), we were getting around 58 to 88 hits a day (average mid-70s), the first TFL (June 13) saw a small rise to 91 but then, as of June 19, we saw a significant and sustained surge in interest (peaking at 155 on June 22, blipping low at 56 on June 25 - any ideas?) to an average of around 120 hits a day (an increase of around 50 hits per day, or a nearly 70% increase in daily traffic).

So far, July has gone beyond that. Four days have peaked over 200 hits, and while we're averaging around 125 hits a day, that's almost double what we had before TFL.

Drawing people to WP:FLC is an important part of the TFL process, and from this brief amount of digging, it seems like it's working to a degree. Now we just need more reviewers!!! The Rambling Man (talk) 17:23, 31 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Great news! Thanks for the report. --Another Believer (Talk) 22:48, 31 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

List of Oregon state symbols[edit]

The page views tool must not have been working the day this list appeared on the Main Page. I have seen other articles in which page view statistics are not displayed for Oct. 24. --Another Believer (Talk) 18:53, 30 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
