I should have noticed this sooner: Thomaskantor is not "Cantor at St. Thomas". It is - as the article explains, director of church music in Leipzig. Kantor is not Cantor, - Kantor implies responsibility for singing, choir and organ. "At St. Thomas" is also wrong, because he was responsible for the church music at four churches, and functions at the university church.
