No[edit]

No.Yeago (talk) 01:36, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately I agree... especially, no Featured Article?! My babies will never have a chance then :( Gary King (talk) 01:39, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Patience, I'm working on it, lol... · AndonicO Engage. 02:33, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The {{construction}} template at the top is quite hard to miss. I like it the way its looking so far AO! « Milk's Favorite Cøøkie 02:37, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Improved, but no FA!!! waaaaYeago (talk) 02:44, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ah; I'm familiar with {{construction}} as it appears on the article namespace but not as much with the one for project pages, so I must have missed that :| Gary King (talk) 02:45, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Done... you guys wouldn't let me finish. Still need to fit in the portals somewhere... and fix a couple of coding errors. Still need to check on a smaller screen (could anyone help me on that?), and maybe move search to where FS is. · AndonicO Engage. 02:48, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm. I really hated this design at first, but I'm digging now.Yeago (talk) 02:50, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Resize the browser for a smaller screen, if you're talking about small monitors. It looks decent on 1024x768; kind of like newspaper columns. Gary King (talk) 02:51, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Anyone recommend a better color for the center column? The yellow is too saturated, I think. · AndonicO Engage. 02:59, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A milder yellow ain't bad. I am not liking your placement of search. You have to consider that a non-visual user experiences it as though it were being read left to right, top to bottom. If I were reading the page to you, would it make sense where search is?Yeago (talk) 03:04, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Any further left and it'll be right next to the "normal" search bar; maybe I should remove it altogether? · AndonicO Engage. 10:00, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Orange? Gary King (talk) 03:04, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
That would probably be worse... I'll try to look for a lighter yellow as Yeago suggested (wow, I hate working with colors). · AndonicO Engage. 10:00, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Looks pretty good now. I wish they would add a section for FL's on the main page. :/ « Milk's Favorite Cøøkie 04:40, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Waste of space, 'twoud be. · AndonicO Engage. 10:00, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am liking it. The only thing I have a slight problem with is the two Featured Articles, it is a little confusing to me. Plus I think it would look better with one column with extra white space than two with extra white space. Good job!<3 Tinkleheimer TALK!! 04:00, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I just looked through all proposals and yours by far is my favorite. Great job!<3 Tinkleheimer TALK!! 04:14, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I like that FA and News stay at the top (I often check the Main Page specifically to see the news), and that DYK -- which is an especially fun/attracting feature for newcomers -- is prominent as well. The light yellow works for me. Halfway down the page, though, it gets muddled, including the addition of a second FA. The description of the nature of WP works for me also. Lawikitejana (talk) 05:47, 11 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Low-res[edit]

The page as a whole is slightly wider than the monitor, requiring scrolling from side to side to read the third column (which is quite narrow and a little difficult to read). Also, a fair chunk of white space around the middle of the page, which probably isn't visible in high res. Anaxial (talk) 21:14, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Article count[edit]

You still have the precise article count both top and bottom. I think it belongs where it is near the bottom of the page, and is entirely unnecessary at the top. Thanks. --Hordaland (talk) 19:53, 12 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Featured article[edit]

Too scrunched. My eyes are shooting back and forth like a ... zigzagging thing.Yeago (talk) 21:56, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
