Students learn about theory and how it is applicable to human development behavior. They also learn how theory plays out in the social, culture, economic and political spheres of life. Different theories are explored to see how their determine and shape humans and their behavior. In terms of Wikipedia, this theory will look at why theory is important including how it affects human developmental processes. This approach will also allow students to understand the role of theory in research, particularly as a pre-cursor to the identification of variables. Research and theory are intertwined, and this will be made clear.
