Wikipedia:WikiProject Television/CSI task force/Left panel

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Welcome to WikiProject: CSI franchise![edit]

The CSI franchise WikiProject exists to help improve the encyclopaedic content of CSI franchise-related articles, spanning TV, novels and video games. Anyone can join. For more information on WikiProjects, please see Wikipedia:WikiProjects and Wikipedia:WikiProject best practices.

Any assertive statements made in the task boxes should be backed up by a consensus of involved editors; just post a link if in doubt.

Goals[edit]
The project aims primarily to:
  • Write and expand articles related to CSI - there is always new information about the show to be added.
  • Organize and manage that content - a mass of information is of no use if it isn't properly organized. Also, make sure that any activity on any CSI article is being relayed back to the project. If there is a dispute on a single character's talk page, not everyone is going to see it. Recommend that the dispute be brought to the project, that way you can get the opinions of all the other participants.
  • Damage control - see something that needs to be done? Be bold! Edit articles, get involved in the discussions on the articles talk page, and feel free to tell us your thoughts and ideas on the WikiProject talk page!
  • Featured Articles & Good Articles - we have no featured content and only two Good Articles, let's try and make the three main articles featured content.
Tasks[edit]
Please refer to the talk page for discussions regarding major projects. Click here for a list of recent changes to CSI-related pages.

Major tasks[edit]

  • Sort out CSI characters in-universe issues, see Talk:Stella Bonasera. Much PRODing liable to ensue unless we deal with this.
  • Clean up main characters' articles.
  • Identify possible GA or FA candidates and publicise them, ideally on the project talk page

Minor or routine tasks[edit]

  • Create and expand episode articles for all the shows, giving full storylines, not teasers or summaries from DVD boxed sets or similar. There is a template in the Resources section for you to use.
  • Tag franchise-related articles
  • Add new information to episode lists as new episodes are aired
  • Periodically check articles for copy-editing issues and deviations from the Manual of Style.

Articles needing expansion[edit]

  • Frank Tripp - more background information and detail from the show

Articles needing cleanup[edit]

  • A Grizzly Murder - an admin has removed the CSD tag from this article, so it needs a complete rewrite following the episode template.
  • Greg Sanders- this article just needs some in-universe adjustments and grammar corrections and it will be all nice and clean. Possibly even GA worthy, though it would definitely take some work.
