Issues to be mediated[edit]

Primary issues (This content was overwhelmingly rejected years ago through discussions among admins and editors. There is no need to rehash it again.)
  1. Much discussion in 2012 about the Onion "incident." Consensus was that it was undue weight. Even after all these years Shelfpea and Neurtrality wantsto start to add content that was removed by agreement a long time ago.
Additional issues (added by other parties)
  • Additional issue 1
  • Additional issue 2

Parties' agreement to mediation[edit]

  1. Agree. Tomuchtalk (talk) 20:09, 25 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Decision of the Mediation Committee[edit]

  • Reject. Fails to satisfy prerequisite to mediation #4, "The parties must have first engaged in extensive discussion of the matter in dispute at the article talk page and discussion only through edit summaries will not suffice". While there was discussion of the issue in the past, there has been no recent extensive discussion at the article's talk page (and none whatsoever by the filing party). Even if consensus was reached at that time, circumstances can change and consensus can change, so additional discussion is warranted before seeking dispute resolution. There are no changes in circumstances. Shelfpea simply re-posted something from years ago that is trivial and judged to be so by several editors. I have responded to Shelfpea on Fleming's talk and responded to you on my talk.Tomuchtalk (talk) 22:40, 25 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
