Wikipedia:Requests for feedback/2010 August 30

There is currently little information about this boxcar available online. I am trying to use Wikipedia to make this available to the public. Photos of the real cars are difficult to find in searches, most photo or text searches return scale models of the cars.

Try and use inline citations to help display your references correctly, and maybe consider adding more categories to the article to get it listed with other, similar articles based on similar subjects. Chevymontecarlo - alt 06:37, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am aiming to substantially improve this article, so as a starting point I'd like to hear what others have to think of its current incarnation.

Usually this page is supposed to be for getting feedback on new or recently created articles, not more well-established articles. I think the best way to get feedback on this kind of thing is to perhaps create a section on the article's talk page instead. Chevymontecarlo - alt 06:39, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to request your help for reviewing this article. This is an article about financial service company in Indonesia. The performance was outstanding. Dyudo (talk) 09:12, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • The articles on the English Wikipedia need to be written in English. Outside of this, I cannot offer a review. Thank you. Cindamuse (talk) 23:32, 19 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello

I recently reposted this article about DKSH which was previously deleted due to lack of reliable sources. I have looked into this and added sources according to your guidelines (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:The_answer_to_life,_the_universe,_and_everything).

Unfortunately however, I was unable to find more English sources and had to post mostly German ones. I hope this is still acceptable.

Thank you in advance for your feedback which is very much appreciated.

  • Unfortunately, there remain issues pertaining to notability. Notability needs to be established through significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. Since this is the English Wikipedia, we need to present a translation for the references offered. The purpose of the lede paragraph is to clearly indicate notability according to WP:ORG, while summarizing the article overall. The lede does not currently do this. Outside of the notability and reference issues, the article needs to be copyedited and audited for compliance with the Wikipedia Manual of Style. Hope this all helps. Best wishes, Cindamuse (talk) 23:41, 19 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have no more online references available to me, the author of this article, to put in the article. Will it be removed? I work for the titular company, so I know full-well it is a legitimate business.

Why was the StealTheDeal logo I submitted taken down? I had that logo personally drawn-up specifically for Wikipedia and I was very clear on this point when submitting it. It was within the size limits and all other regulations. This is odd. 99.224.216.157 (talk) 12:28, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Notability is established through significant coverage reflected in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. Unfortunately, the article does not adequately present these references and will be most likely be deleted. Best wishes, Cindamuse (talk) 23:56, 19 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, This article is unique in that it presents a integrated research project with funding from the EC, and gives the professionals and public readers an opportunity to look into such a project. Interested parties may contact the consortium members and may find out more about the project. This may eventually bring about scientific training possibilities. Nice overview and easily to understand.

Hello,

This is a very good article on a very complex EU funded research consortium on the immune response of highly interesting species (bivalves and fish) for aquaculture. The most important aspect is that the major goal was to generate knowledge that could be used in the near future by the producers.

The article is well written and easy to understand.

I believe it will be of great help for many researchers and public in general all over the world.

I hope that this article remains in the Wikipedia.

Hi Bcollet Thanks for generating this article on IMAQUANIM. Let us know when you are ready for illustrations and in what format they should be. Best wishes The CoordinatorTjuko (talk) 12:02, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I will have some jpeg images with the logo of the project. There will be more illustration to add in the future - probably jpeg images. Thanks.

Hi, new here, made a user page to start for my sound project. I want to eventually have the Dark Muse page be a live wikipedia page, but would like someone to view my user page before that to see what I may be missing, or if I have glaring issues. I've tried to list the most important aspects and related resources for reference. This is my first time doing this so please excuse me if I have posted this in the wrong section. Thanks in advance.

thanks for responses. I will look into all. Have updated a few things last night so I'm hoping each will help. Will also look into ChevyMontecarlo's added thoughts too. Darkmuse (talk) 10:15, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You need to provide some reliable third party sources to verify the contents. Also, article may not meet the notability criteria of bands, see WP:MUSIC. -Reconsider! 13:36, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
As to the structure/style of the article, I think you need to try and add sections, perhaps some categories, and definitely reliable, third party sources like Reconsider says. Chevymontecarlo - alt 06:41, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Also, an infobox would be a nice addition. Chevymontecarlo - alt 06:42, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am looking to get this brief article approved or edited for approval about the Wilbur Curtis Company. The source of information comes from the companies website: www.wilburcurtis.com. This source will be added. Thank you.

Hopefully this link works: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:MrCurtis/Wilbur_Curtis_Co. MrCurtis (talk) 18:02, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • In order to review the article, we need to see what it would look like in the mainspace. The subject lacks notability established by significant coverage reflected through reliable sources that are independent of the subject. Accordingly, the article would be deleted if it were placed in the mainspace. See WP:ORG. Best wishes, Cindamuse (talk) 00:08, 20 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please review my article on The Women’s Issues Network of Belize. The Women’s Issues Network of Belize is the only network of organizations in Belize whose focus is on the empowerment of women.

  • This article's citation style is unclear. The references used may be made clearer with a different or consistent style of citation, footnoting, or external linking. Citations are used to support the prose, rather than section headings. Please revise to reflect the source for content within the article. Notability is established through significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. Without a clear citation style, it is difficult to ascertain whether or not the subject is notable. Best wishes, Cindamuse (talk) 00:26, 20 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

hi guys, wondering if someone can approve my article. I appreciate it.

Sarasepidzadeh 20:47, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

Consider adding more references if you can, perhaps more sections and maybe an infobox as well. I'm not sure what you mean by 'approving' the article but it's already in the main space if that's what you mean. Hope this is useful. Chevymontecarlo 06:32, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I put a new article titled "MLE (Multi-Lamellar Emulsion)". It is a bio technology that makes it possible to mimic the human skin's lipids. Please take a look at the various references from renowned academic journals(JID etc.). Please help me to improve my first article. Your feedback or any comments would be appreciated. Thank you!

Sanghwa1112 (talk) 01:24, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I would say maybe try and break the article up into sections. Chevymontecarlo 06:34, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
