I have created a draft for Candace Flynn and I hope this draft could be moved to the article of Candace Flynn.

Nice article - work on adding more reliable references to the article. I also think a better opening paragraph needs to be written - the average reader is probably not going to have a clue who this person is, and they sound like a character from somewhere. Finally, think about adding some more links as well. Hope all this is helpful, but please send me a message if you have any more questions. Thank you. Thank-you for the tips on this draft.

Dear all,

I am trying to assemble an article (first time user actually...) on seminar series at my university that I feel is important enough to have in wikipedia. Scientists form all voer the world are giving seminars in this series. I would like to know how to handle wikilinks to names of people. If I link with the square brackets, and the name is not yet there (as in many cases) of course it will lead to an empty entry. Maybe later someone will write a page and then the link will be fine. That is clear. But what if I would like to link to a person, that has no own page yet, but anotehr person with the same name has a page. For instance Richard Palmer. I would like to refer to the evolutionary biologist Richard Palmer[1], and not to the bishop. entrpreneur, or Justice guy where I link to with the brackets. In such a situation, should I try to created short pages for these people and introduce disambiguity pages in some way? All people I link to in the "past speaker" section are likely to become really influential scientists one day, if they are not already. I think they would deserve a link in wikipedia.

What was wrong with the references in my article and why where the external links deleted?

I have added some names to the references, although I don't know why the external links were deleted. You're probably better off messaging the user who actually deleted the external links - take a look in the article's page history by clicking the 'History' tab at the top of the page. As to improvements, I think the article sounds like an advertisement for the company, so try and rewrite the article in a more neutral tone and style. For more information on this take a look at WP:TONE or WP:POV. Thanks. Chevymontecarlo - alt 06:59, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
