many actors and actresses 'get together' on the set, to the point of long (though often short!) hollywood marriages, but have any couples BECOME famous together?[edit]

of the super-famous hollywood couples, are there any who were already married as they became famous, ie having started as a married couple in obscurity? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.199.126.76 (talk) 00:24, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Do they have to have been actors? Sonny and Cher qualify. The White Stripes sort of do. Little Red Riding Hoodtalk 00:52, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Jennifer Jones and Robert Walker married in 1939, became well-known in 1943-44, appeared together in Since You Went Away (1944), divorced in 1945. Kirk and Diana Douglas married in 1943 and were unknown until late 1940s. They appeared together in The Indian Fighter (1955) and It Runs in the Family (2003). William H Macy and Felicity Huffman were doing 'bit parts' and 'recurring characters' when they married in 1997, and are now both major names. DJ Clayworth (talk) 22:32, 18 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Film Merlin[edit]

Hello anyone.

Please can you tell us the location/locations where the fil Merlin was made. Film starring Sam Neill as Merlin.

Valerie

IMDB gives filming locations as "Peebles, Scottish Borders, Scotland, UK". --Dr Dima (talk) 22:10, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
A really, really good movie BTW. Isabella Rossellini as Nimue, Sam Neill as Merlin. If you like Andrei Konchalovsky's Odyssey, you'd definitely like it, and vice-versa. --Dr Dima (talk) 22:19, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
This link from IMDB gives a list of locations where the film was shot. It seems the main location was in Wales and not Scotland as previously stated. --Megan (talk) 9:30, 17 November 2008
