Ok. I done alot of work and I need some more feedback so I can nominate this article for WP:FA. A note... I have not done the sources at the bottom yet. That is all I can think of at the moment. Tell me how it is. (More then me has worked on this so i thank them). --Shane (T - C - E) 05:40, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My suggestions:
  1. Add another paragraph to the lead.
  2. Convert all lists to prose. --Shane (T - C - E) 20:25, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  3. Expand, expand, expand - there is very little information in the article in the first place, make sure that every section is at least 3 paragraphs long or more. --Shane (T - C - E) 19:40, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  4. More pictures may be good, providing there are no Copyright issues with them. --Shane (T - C - E) 19:40, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  5. Make sure it fits all the FA criteria - see Wikipedia:What is a featured article?

Well OK, but I still think more expansion is needed, there is tons more to say about the FBI! Keep it up though, and remove the unnecessary bolding.— Wackymacs 19:45, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well.. I took out the media and put it in it's own article. Expand Expand... umm. I could work on the history a bit more. Just havn't gotten to it yet. I have yet to think of any ideas for the lead. Everytime I go to edit that section, I draw a blank. As you saw, I worked on the personal section.. like I know this from personal expereince. I am taking the scetions now into Word and working on them there before I post them up now. I usually work within Word. --Shane (T - C - E) 20:25, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Keep up the good work, it is improving! — Wackymacs 20:28, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • People may wish to edit this article with the assistance of a 'Dates' tab and a 'Units' tab in edit mode. Simply copy the entire contents of User:Bobblewik/monobook.js to your own monobook. Then follow the instructions in your monobook to clear the cache (i.e. press Ctrl-Shift-R in Firefox, or Ctrl-F5 in IE) before it will work. Hope that helps. bobblewik 15:24, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Nominated for WP:GA status. --Shane (T - C - E) 04:29, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • You might want to take a hard look at how "History" is organized: in one passage, it goes from discussing the start of organized-crime monitoring, to discussing inflitration of dissent movements, to RICO in the 1970s, to JFK's assassination. Beyond that, there are a lot of short paragraphs that could be condensed to increase the overall visual appeal. You need many more citations: did Hoover really write off the crime syndicates at first? If you're looking to take this to FAC, it hardly seems comprehensive. You could use the entries in "See also" as a frame for expansion, providing a paragraph or so per topic (following summary style). Minor notes:
    • Are there any photos of Hoover? You might want to simply choose one width for all the photos (the three under "Organization" are a little jarring visually). I prefer to use sub-sections only if the section containes material enough for two (see 1.1 and 4.1).--Monocrat 02:30, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
