This was originally just going to be the National Park Service units like List of national lakeshores and seashores of the United States but then I doubled my workload with the memorials that are independently operated but don't receive the billing the NPS sites do. Congress is quite inconsistent with naming sites as "national memorials" as they either authorize construction of memorials or commemorative works that may or may not be built or other times name an existing site, so I read a lot of legislation during this project. All done. Pearl Harbor is brand new so the NPS Index doesn't have the area but it's the same as the Hawaii portion of the former World War II Valor in the Pacific National Monument. I don't know what the blue ELs are supposed to mean or how to fix the 'connection issue'; I can open those links from the article just fine. Reywas92^Talk 07:15, 5 May 2019 (UTC)

Comments Not at all convinced you need to bold "National memorial"" in the lead. Done, had that because there isn't a corresponding main article "The National Park Service (NPS), an agency..." This probably needs an {{as of}} as this might change. Added, but this doesn't see very frequent changes and I would expect any changes to be updated. " administers 30 memorials as official units and provides assistance for five " MOSNUM, thirty or 5. I prefer the former. Done do not have the word "national" in their titles. I don't see the importance of this at all. All national parks, national monuments, etc. do include this, and the NPS specifically notes this naming convention [2]. " uniquely designated" in what sense? Aren't all these memorials unique? That the Washington Monument is the only one with "monument" in its name despite being a memorial, but I can remove that. "created out of World War II Valor " shouldn't there be a "the" after "of"? Added "The NPS national memorial units are in 15 states" I see no need for "units" here, reads really odd to me. Done "Washington, D.C., has the most, 11, followed by Pennsylvania and New York, each with three." MOSNUM again (eleven/three or 11/3). Done "The historic areas within the National Park System are automatically listed on the National Register of Historic Places." appears to be unreferenced.   • Additional to the 15 states the NPS memorials are in, not sure how else to concisely put it.
