Explanation[edit]

These are rough guidelines only.

Teaching Skills (0-10/5)[edit]

  • 10 points: This applicant has had very extensive experience with teaching, including teaching in group settings.
  • 5 points: This applicant has had some teaching experience, including teaching in group settings.
  • 2 points: This applicant has a little bit of teaching experience

Leadership Capacities (0-5/10)[edit]

  • 5 points: This applicant has served in various leader/mentor/coordinator/facilitator roles, and has experience starting his or her own organizations/events, with proven track record.
  • 3 points: This applicant has served in a small number of of leader/mentor/coordinator/facilitator role.

Technological Competency (0-5)[edit]

  • 5 points: This applicant is an advanced computer programmer and/or is an experienced wiki editor with advanced MediaWiki skill
  • 4 points: This applicant has had some experience with coding, and/or extensive wiki editing experience, and knows a lot about technology and social media in general
  • 3 points: This applicant has had some experience with coding and/or is somewhat experienced with how wikis work, and is familiar with various social media tools
  • 2 points: This applicant has had experience using blogs, social media tools, wikis, etc.

Character traits (0-4)[edit]

  • 4 points: This applicant is very excited about Wikipedia, about Wikipedia's potential as a teaching tool, and about the Campus Ambassador role; this person also seems friendly, warm, and enthusiastic in general.
  • 3 points: This applicant exudes a general sense of excitement and enthusiasm.
  • 1 point: This applicant seems to have spent little time working on the Campus Ambassador application and exudes little excitement for the Ambassador program.

Belief in Wikipedia’s Philosophy (0-1)[edit]

  • 1 point: This applicant is a fan of Wikipedia and understands the value of Wikipedia
  • 0 point: This applicant doesn't seem to know much about what Wikipedia is.
