Question from Aurafaison (22:16, 5 May 2024)[edit]

Hello! I listed some issues with an article that I've worked on (my first and only so far) on the talk page of the article. Would you be able to take a look, or refer me to someone else? Thank you for your help. Hope your day is going well. --Aurafaison (talk) 22:16, 5 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, @Aurafaison. I am here by request of @Yoshi24517 to see about your question as they are on a wikibreak. What is the article that you are working on? I can possibly have a look at it. Thank you, Cowboygilbert - (talk) ♥ 23:12, 5 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, yes, thank you! It's the Striped hairy nosed bat article. I added a few topics to the talk page. Thank you! Aurafaison (talk) 01:10, 6 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, @Aurafaison. On Wikipedia, you have the ability to change the information if you have a verifiable source to be able to show that the information is different. Your two recent questions about the genus name andOn Wikipedia, you have the ability the locations of the bats, you can change because the sources help reflect the change. Your first question, that was sent on the 15th of April, can only be added if you have a verifiable source for the addition. If you do, you can go ahead and add it.
Could you give me the journal/book that you are referencing from the second question, the one sent on the 28th of April? Images can only be added if they are freely licensed by the photographer or are of public domain.
I also saw that no one sent you an introductory welcome message that can help you learn the ways of Wikipedia on your talk page, I will send one that will show the different policies and other ways to help you get started! Thank you, Cowboygilbert - (talk) ♥ 01:46, 6 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello! Yes the book is Bats an illustrated guide to all species by Marianne Taylor and Merlin D. Tuttle, ISBN: 978-1-58834-647-6. I took a picture with my phone of the picture in the book. That is what I would upload. Thank you for your help :) Aurafaison (talk) 14:50, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Aurafaison, Again. I discourage uploading the photo and putting in on Wikipedia as it may violate copyright laws. Thank you, Cowboygilbert - (talk) ♥ 18:26, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Knightknight12345 (14:41, 7 May 2024)[edit]

Hi Yoshi! I have a question I wanted to ask you about a Wikipedia article. The particular article is an information article. However it is too long and requires cleanup. There is a section in the article that I want to remove. Reason is that I believe it's not relevant and also because it contains an opinionated piece. Also it is kinda biased and not neutral. I tried to remove the section but some mods reverted it. I thought that the section was irrelevant. So if I remove it would it be vandalism? Are the mods wrong? --Knightknight12345 (talk) 14:41, 7 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Knightknight12345, I took a look at your edits, and I'm assuming you are talking about this edit: [1] Not sure why you removed the information you did in the edit after this one. It would help if you leave an edit summary for every edit you makes, as it makes it easier for us to understand why an editor did what they did. I have to agree with the other editors. You were bold, and tried to remove a section, because you thought it was not neutral, it was reverted, so now the best thing would be to discuss it. Please do so on the talk page, which can be found here: Talk:Tourism in Pakistan. Happy editing. Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Online) 17:59, 7 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Alright thanks. But my removal wasnt this one. My removal was a couple of months ago. I removed an article from the page. But the mods reversed it.Today I was browsing Wikipedia so I thought to remove the section but then I reverted it back In case the other editors wouldnt get unhappy Knightknight12345 (talk) 18:16, 7 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but still, it would be wise to discuss it on the talk page, because it seems like multiple editors were unhappy with your edits. I hope this helps. Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Online) 18:35, 7 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
why?did they say something Knightknight12345 (talk) 11:27, 10 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
you are right I'll ask the other editors Knightknight12345 (talk) 11:35, 10 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Trevor TDK (19:58, 7 May 2024)[edit]

Hello! Would I be able to create a Wikipedia page about an upcoming album that has information about it from the artist themselves? Just want to make sure if I have to wait or not. --Trevor TDK (talk) 19:58, 7 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Trevor TDK, you would need to find reliable sources not from the artist themselves as well. Could you tell me the name of the artist? Please note, I will be taking a wikibreak for a few days due to certain IRL commitments that must take priority, but I'm sure one of my talk page stalkers will be happy to answer any additional questions that you might have, or provide advice for you. Happy editing! Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Online) 02:25, 9 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The artist is Falling in Reverse. Trevor TDK (talk) 03:26, 9 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Trevor TDK, Like Yoshi said. You need to provide a reliable source for the information. Did you get a WikiWelcome message that shows help for learning the basics of Wikipedia? If not, I can give you one. But, word of mouth isn’t a reliable source as it can’t be verified. Thank you, Cowboygilbert - (talk) ♥ 18:30, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

On adding section to an article[edit]

Hi Yoshi! I hope you are well. I wanted to ask something about a topic. I want to add a section in (an unrelated) Wikipedia article about something. So how should I do it. I know that I'll have to go on the talk page of the article first. But I am not sure of the whole process how to do it. Could you guide me how? Thanks Knightknight12345 (talk) 11:35, 10 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, @Knightknight12345. Yoshi is currently on WikiBreak due to personal reasons. What is the article and what do you want to add into the article? Thank you, Cowboygilbert - (talk) ♥ 18:34, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
thanks for responding. But I've decided not to edit the article right now.Knightknight12345 (talk) 18:35, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
