Re: List of Ang Probinsyano Characters.[edit]

Good day Wansawansa!

Just here to clarify some things regarding the classification of cast members, especially the supporting cast. For one, encyclopedia entries use the term "supporting" to denote secondary characters, whereas credits roll use the term "also starring", the reason being that the credits roll want to denote every actor as a "star".

With respect to recurring cast members, in the Ang Probinsyano page, a recurring cast member is one that is formerly part of the cast but not anymore credited despite appearing. For example, Dennis Padilla and Ana Roces are not credited anymore as part of the supporting cast after August 2016, yet they still made appearances beyond August 2016 albeit not credited in the credits roll. The same situation is observed with Lei Andrei Navarro, Joel Torre and Shamaine Centenera-Buencamino. The latter two, on the other hand, while appearing uncredited beginning June 2016, started getting credited as part of the guest cast beginning in February 2017. However, being that they were credited as part of the supporting cast before and still appeared sporadically before February 2017, they are listed as part of the recurring cast.
