Proposed deletion of Lucía Abello[edit]

The article Lucía Abello has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline nor the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (biographies) requirement. WP:BEFORE did not reveal any significant coverage on Gnews, Gbooks or Gscholar. In the previous proposal for deletion, I was late to participate in the debate. Please, this biography is very valuable to the library community, I believe that it should not be deleted.

Keep

This librarian is a very important woman to the international library community, regardless of the traditional publishing circuit. The concept of notability should not be tied to the article indexing ranking when, ultimately, she is a person with various academic publications.

Having her biography allows many people to know the impact of women librarians of the 21st century. I also believe that the fact that her article in the Spanish edition of wikipedia remains alive, shows the relevance of her existence. Thanks in advance!

Bridges[edit]

I see you also are trying an AfC. I think it will go better after there are several reviews of her new book. When they're published, add them, and let me know. I'll try as an AfC reviewer to keep the afc from being deleted in the meanwhile, but it can always be restored. If I don't think it will hold up, I will say so. (Oddly, there's a prejudice against saying people are notable because of what they've written about WP) But as you have seen, librarian bios here are a tricky subject; from my 15 years of experience here, decisions at AfD for them are wildly erratic.
