The list of firmware versions is impossible to verify, which makes it inappropriate for wikipedia. You might like to find another place to keep that information or start up a Nokia wiki somewhere. Please see also WP:NOT.

License tagging for Image:08112006004.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:08112006004.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 17:04, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

A couple of things:

Firstly, when leaving comments on talk pages, you should sign the edit, and also leave an edit summary. It's also a good idea to make reference to what you're talking about, since your slightly ranting edit wasn't initially clear. I don't keep track of who makes edits that I later change or revert.

Secondly, the edits you made were original research and unverified/unreferenced. The new Nokia handset template provides a list of all Nokia handsets, and a link to, say Nokia Nseries would be more useful - and easier to maintain - than linking to specific models of handset. Your choice of which specific handsets are 'related' is original research, whereas a link to the family of handsets isn't.

Beyond that, much of what you added was just nonsense - you said that the Nokia N80 is similar to the N70, and then listed off major and significant differences that make it similar only in the sense that they're both made by Nokia and start and end with the same letter/number in the name. You went on to make unreferenced claims about the Nokia N72 (it's not aimed at the American market - it's been released in Europe), before mentioning the only part that would have been worth keeping, the Nokia N70 Music Edition. the list of 'related handsets' was supported in the article only by the incorrect and unreferenced 'evolution' section.

Most of the Nokia articles require a good bit of clean up, but in most cases this is going to be removing unverifiable or inappropriate content, plus adding some details and (where possible) images. Adding original research into articles isn't appropriate and I stand by my decision to remove the content you added. Wibbble 17:27, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • The fact that Rufus is large sized is already mentioned in that clause, so it was superfluous. JuJube (talk) 00:03, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've created a discussion about Ono's name at Talk:Street Fighter IV#Is it Yoshinori Ono or Ono Yoshinori?. I doubt that's his name is Ono Yoshinori because Western publications have always printed names of Japanese figures as first-last and I seriously doubt that they would've changed that just for the Street Fighter IV producer. I've been on Wikipedia a long time so I understand how it works. You were one revert away from a 3RR with the edits I made. Those rules are in place for a reason -- this is a collaborative environment, and no one editor gets the final say on contributions to an article. Not every little edit needs to be discussed at talk before being implemented in the article. I looked at the history and it seems that you've treated it this way for several others' edits and it's clear that you are the primary editor of that article. It seemed like my edit struck a wrong chord with you and that you took the edit personally. I don't care enough to take the wording of one little sentence to the talk page, but I did care enough to try to establish a reason for my change in the edit summary. To me the way the sentence was worded was using weasel words. The first phrase had already established that the majority of filming took place in the United States. The word "minimum" is a subjective modifier, has no citation and is unnecessary. But again, whatever. I don't care, I just don't think it's right for one editor to get the final say on every little change to an article. Every editor's voice is as important as every other editor's. -- Renesis (talk) 17:29, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, my apologies, all those other edits weren't mine. I don't know whether it was a Wiki edit conflict or sloppy editing on my part but I only meant to remove the weasel word sentence (and all the other changes came from some combination of someone else's edits). I only thought your edit summary was talking about that one sentence. Sorry for the confusion and good job on catching that edit. -- Renesis (talk) 19:36, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have done a non-admin closure on the AfD discussion you started, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mortal Kombat 8 (Tentative Title), on the grounds that AfD is not the proper forum for discussing deletion of redirect pages. I have copied the discussion to Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2009 June 23. KuyaBriBriTalk 14:19, 23 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Plot[edit]

Per WP:MOSFILMS, the plot should be around 700 words. The fact that this is a long movie doesn't equal that it is a complex movie. It's giant robots beating each other up. Not that complicated, and doesn't require a lot of detail. Someone already summarized most of the plot. Please stop adding extraneous details to the plot section. Thank you.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 20:17, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you think something important was left out, I suggest you go to the talk page and discuss it per Bold-Revert-Discuss. You were bold in your edit, it was reverted, and now it is time to discuss.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 20:21, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. DYK for Lars Alexandersson[edit]

On 17 September 2017, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Lars Alexandersson, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the name of Tekken character Lars Alexandersson was proposed to the development staff by an unknown woman from the Swedish embassy in Japan? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Lars Alexandersson. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Lars Alexandersson), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
