I might add that you are right to say that we can't say that Rep. Paul himself wrote the newsletter. However, they are connected with him (even Paul said he "bore some responsibility for them"). The best we can do is discuss the situation as neutrally as possible and not simply sweep it under the rug, because many media organizations have discussed it.
