DYK for Black Panther (film)

On 2 February 2017, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Black Panther (film), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Wesley Snipes had been interested in portraying the Black Panther in film for more than 20 years, before Marvel Studios officially announced Black Panther in 2014 with Chadwick Boseman in the role? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Black Panther (film). You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Black Panther (film)), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Your GA nomination of Civil War II

Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Civil War II you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Argento Surfer -- Argento Surfer (talk) 17:21, 3 March 2017 (UTC)

If you have a second

Hey Triiiple. Since you have file mover rights, if you have a second, can you move File:AoS LMD poster.jpg to File:Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 4 second pod poster.jpg? It will be more in line with the other season posters we have for the series, as seen in Category:Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. seasons. Thanks! - Favre1fan93 (talk) 03:47, 4 March 2017 (UTC)

Wonder Woman

Hi, TriiipleThreat. Please note that I reuploaded a new Wonder Woman infobox image, this one being a .png file as opposed to a .jpg file. The previous image you uploaded is not the one used from Justice #5, but rather one from Ross' website, as part of his personal collection. Wonder Woman.png is from the original cited source, Justice #5, and has a color scheme from the actual comic. I discuss this in the Wonder Woman Talk Page. I also reduced the size of Wonder Woman.png to 248 x 392, just as you did for Wonder Woman.jpg. DrRC (talk) 21:17, 9 April 2017 (UTC)

It is the original image, I edited it myself removing the text.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 21:22, 9 April 2017 (UTC)

Scarlet Witch

You took issue with my changes but Scarlet Witch is not included in the xmen navobox either and considering that box is more full of actual xmen characters it stands to reason she would be associated with the correct franchise with which she has been long identified with since 1965 which is the avengers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.190.220.239 (talk) 14:05, 3 May 2017 (UTC)

Page mover granted

Hello, TriiipleThreat. Your account has been granted the "extendedmover" user right, either following a request for it or demonstrating familiarity with working with article names and moving pages. You are now able to rename pages without leaving behind a redirect, and move subpages when moving the parent page(s).

Please take a moment to review Wikipedia:Page mover for more information on this user right, especially the criteria for moving pages without leaving redirect. Please remember to follow post-move cleanup procedures and make link corrections where necessary, including broken double-redirects when suppressredirect is used. This can be done using Special:WhatLinksHere. It is also very important that no one else be allowed to access your account, so you should consider taking a few moments to secure your password. As with all user rights, be aware that if abused, or used in controversial ways without consensus, your page mover status can be revoked.

If you do not want the page mover right anymore, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Thank you, and happy editing! — xaosflux Talk 19:15, 5 July 2017 (UTC)

With Miss America (Marvel Comics)‎, since its being used as a disambiguation, does it's talk page still need to be redirecting to Madeline's page, or should we blank it and replace with just a wikibanner? Just wanted to check before I changed anything. WikiVirusC (talk) 10:27, 6 July 2017 (UTC)

Renner injury

FYI, in the second paragraph of the article, it says Speaking at a Karlovy Vary Film Festival press conference on Friday for Taylor Sheridan’s “Wind River,” the actor said he fractured his right elbow and his left wrist. I do see how Renner said he "broke his arms", so I'm fine with either. But since what I added is in the article (not my diagnosis), I think it is more appropriate to state that, since (trying to pull from high school anatomy class here) they are both joints, but now I'm just being technical about it. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 17:28, 7 July 2017 (UTC)

I must have missed that. Very well then. My apologies.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 17:47, 7 July 2017 (UTC)
No worries! Just wanted you to know it was in the article. I zeroed in on the actual injuries without seeing it as "broken arms" and you must have zeroed in on the "broken arms" without seeing the actual injuries stated. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 18:12, 7 July 2017 (UTC)
Just saw this which seems to call out and contradict the Variety article. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 20:03, 7 July 2017 (UTC)
I see. In that case we can remove it entirely.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 20:08, 7 July 2017 (UTC)
I was thinking since it was most likely referring to the untitled film, not Infinity War, we could move the info there. But since it didn't happen during the production, and Renner claims it will not hinder his ability to film scenes for the untitled film, I agree we can just remove the info altogether. I will get on that. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 21:44, 7 July 2017 (UTC)

SDCC/Stranger Things

Thanks for finding that photostream from the Stranger Things SDCC panel we can use (free images, yay!) One quick thing as I'm at work and can't do it as quickly: If you see how I did a similar cast shot for Fringe (TV series) could you upload a cropped version of the full cast and place it like I did on the cast list there? We can then place it horizontally and give more space to call out the visible cast members. --MASEM (t) 15:46, 28 July 2017 (UTC)

@Masem: I like the idea but I don't think the images that Gage took really lend themselves that well to that format. The image in the Fringe article is taken from the center and is aligned horizontally. Gage's images are from one side and a bit skewed. You could try something like at Futurama#Voice actors and create a table with individual images.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 16:00, 28 July 2017 (UTC)
That's true, the skewness may be a problem. Oh, well, we have lots of other images from his flicker to help (I've already added a few more). --MASEM (t) 16:02, 28 July 2017 (UTC)

Be careful of your silly reversions

I write regarding your reversion here: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Guardians_of_the_Galaxy_Vol._2&oldid=prev&diff=769830930. What nonsense! If date A precedes date B, then obviously date B cannot be "first". The film was always scheduled to be released before 5th May -- for example, in the UK, when it was released on 28th April .. per my edit. (And, as it turns out, the release was even earlier, on the 25th April in Australia, New Zealand and Italy. Again, this was known at the time you reverted to 5th May.) Please **fact check** before undoing people's work, and improve their edits rather than rejecting them with silly rationales. Thanks. Tomalak Geret'kal (talk) 21:06, 13 August 2017 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) The lead of a film article should include the absolute first release, plus the release in the country of production. Triiiple was 100% correct in restoring the edit, because, at least with MCU films, there are always film premieres which satisfy the "first" release (which April 28 was not), and then May 5 for "country of production" release. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 22:21, 13 August 2017 (UTC)
@Tomalak geretkal: Yes as Favre pointed out May 5th was always going to remain in the lead because it is the US release date so you were wrong to remove it. You also provided no source that April 28th was the first release date. I was correct that the film's premiere on April 10th turned out to be the first. WP:FILMRELEASE suggest to use both the first release and the release in the country of origin. In the future please familiar yourself with Wikipedia guidelines before editing.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 13:44, 14 August 2017 (UTC)

D Roopa IPS

I recently created this article and it's been just deleted saying that this article contains the contents of the article that was previously deleted.

I found this article in draft and I want to republish this article. Can I do it by editing from the draft?

--Kiranmadhu.e (talk) 17:24, 30 August 2017 (UTC)

@Kiranmadhu.e: You should address the concerns of the AfD before attempting to republish it.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 17:36, 30 August 2017 (UTC)

Guardians of the Galaxy reversion

First of all, the only reason you give for reverting is a link to a page. You don't link to the section. There are six shortcuts you could have used (assuming that's the section you're referring to).

What's in the section, in those articles, called "Cast" is mostly talking about the characters. It is not just about the cast members. And what it does say in the section on MOS:FILM is "If roles are described outside of the plot summary, keep such descriptions concise." Concise would be no more than three sentences. And if the character has its own article, then there should be no more than a one-sentence description in the list. —Musdan77 (talk) 21:40, 7 September 2017 (UTC)

The section headers are labeled as outlined in the MOS. Besides only the first sentence is about character. The rest is real world context about the actor and the role; the actor's insight, preparation, etc. It need not be a simple list. Also please remember to sign your comments.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 12:26, 7 September 2017 (UTC)
Ah, I forgot to sign. I guess it's been a long time since I've had to comment on a user page about an incorrect or unnecessary reversion. Nowhere do I see anything saying as you say about section headers. In WP:TVCAST, it clearly says 'Cast list: In a section labeled "Cast" or "Cast and characters"' (and 'Characters list: In a section labeled "Characters" or "List of characters"'). And I think it should be the same for films. —Musdan77 (talk) 21:40, 7 September 2017 (UTC)
I understand, it's like when I have to point out the obvious that Guardians of the Galaxy is a film, not a television series and the MOS in question makes several references to a "Cast" section (in quotation marks), not a "Cast and characters" section.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 22:00, 7 September 2017 (UTC)

Generations-related

As you know, the final two parts of the Generations anthology is coming out today. I was wondering what you have thought of this anthology? --Rtkat3 (talk) 16:07, 27 September 2017 (UTC)

Can I get your eyes on this draft

Discussion of the production section revamp seemed to of died down, to the point where I'm probably going to have to get the draft going on my own, but I wanted to see if you had any input on the draft I proposed since you were one of the editors who expressed concern about where it was going. I would still like to say something about presenting casting news in a more readable way so if you have any suggestions there too, that'd be great. You can find the discussion here Thanks. --Deathawk (talk) 06:57, 21 October 2017 (UTC)

Venom

I'm a bit confused about your thinking with those edits. Your "clarified" version of the lead is not at all what is sourced in the article. If a less experienced or anonymous editor had done that I would have reverted it straight away as vandalism. - adamstom97 (talk) 21:36, 24 October 2017 (UTC)

Jane Foster Picture

Is the picture not supposed to show the character in their most recognizable form? The image I added features Foster as herself and as Thor. HarrisonSteam (talk) 21:09, 16 November 2017 (UTC)

@HarrisonSteam: It features Foster as Thor and as her cancer stricken self, which is not her "most universally recognizable appearance".--TriiipleThreat (talk) 21:24, 16 November 2017 (UTC)
@TriiipleThreat: Really? I can't really think of one definitive form for Foster outside of as Thor. If I can find a picture of Foster as her healthy self alongside herself as Thor, could I place that picture? HarrisonSteam (talk) 21:48, 16 November 2017 (UTC)
Really? She has existed for over 40 years and until recently as a medical professional. Possibly, depends on the image.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 21:53, 16 November 2017 (UTC)

New Page Reviewing

Hello, TriiipleThreat.

I've seen you editing recently and you seem knowledgeable about Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
Would you please consider becoming a New Page Reviewer? Reviewing/patrolling a page doesn't take much time but it requires a good understanding of Wikipedia policies and guidelines; currently Wikipedia needs experienced users at this task. (After gaining the flag, patrolling is not mandatory. One can do it at their convenience). But kindly read the tutorial before making your decision. Thanks. — Insertcleverphrasehere (or here) 09:45, 23 November 2017 (UTC)

Happy Holidays

Merry Christmas!

I'm wishing you a Merry Christmas, because that is what I celebrate. If you don't like Christmas or just don't celebrate it in any of its forms, then please accept a generic "Happy Holidays". If you celebrate no holidays at this time of year, then hopefully you will be satisfied with an even more generic "Season's Greetings".  :) BOZ (talk) 01:04, 23 December 2017 (UTC)

Merry Christmas to all!

We wish you a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year 2018!

Happy Holidays

Happy Holidays
From Stave one of Dickens A Christmas Carol

Old Marley was as dead as a door-nail. Mind! I don’t mean to say that I know, of my own knowledge, what there is particularly dead about a door-nail. I might have been inclined, myself, to regard a coffin-nail as the deadest piece of ironmongery in the trade. But the wisdom of our ancestors is in the simile; and my unhallowed hands shall not disturb it, or the Country’s done for. You will therefore permit me to repeat, emphatically, that Marley was as dead as a door-nail.

So you see even Charles was looking for a reliable source :-) Thank you for your contributions to the 'pedia. ~ MarnetteD|Talk 23:15, 23 December 2017 (UTC)
