The author focuses on the digital era and compiles various surveys in order to compare the differences and responses between audiences pertaining to action films. This article also describes how the cinematic experience has evolved over the years and has been shaped by the various technological advances of the digital era. The author uses various action film examples, analyzes their character’s actions and plot developments, and forms a conclusion on what message those elements are trying to portray.

Women are no longer having to be limited to these roles. This article also focuses on the physical demands that are present with a role in an action film, such as the various training periods, diets, and readiness that must be present for a female action character to be fully prepared.

The author uses various scenes from movies to describes how certain sounds in a movie theatre or how certain images and camera shots can invoke fear and can keep an audience engaged.
