Hillsong Church[edit]

Someone changed your "pentecostal" to "Non-denominational" description. Should this be reverted? Albatross2147 05:43, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • I didn't change it because I don't know what either term really means (and reading the relevant Wp articles left me none the wiser) but I suspected that yours was more righter description if you get me drift. I ride shotgun on those sorts of articles because unless realists do they descend into spam or edit wars or both. I notice you are an Adventist (which when I brushed with religion I was told was a cult and a serious heresy) and I am wondering how you manage to maintain a NPOV approach when writing on Adventism. This isn't a preparation for an ambush on what you have contributed but a request for your ideas on this as you are clearly a serious and thoughtful Wikipedian. Frankly I have a deal of trouble staying NPOV on some topics so I recuse myself from contributing to those topics. Thanks Albatross2147 01:01, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merry Christmas![edit]

Tonicthebrown, as one of my Wikifriends I would like to wish you a merry Christmas. Thanks for all your good work on the pages relating to Seventh-day Adventist theology. It has been good working with you.

All the best,

Colin MacLaurin 08:02, 17 November 2006 (UTC).[reply]

Hi Tonic,

Thanks for your greeting on my talk page. Yes, I recently got back! Actually I started editing Wikipedia again when I was still in Hong Kong, a week or two before I got back to Australia... er, I should be ashamed of this addiction :-). I'm putting off dealing with the 200 emails in my inbox, but replying to yours will be one of the most enjoyable ones! I plan to write a brief blurb about my trip on my userpage, and this achieves the intended aim of Wikipedia user pages to facilitate the production of an encyclopedia by... er... um... motivating users to improve the related articles :-).

I'll catch up with my watchlist soon, and I look forward to seeing the contributions by you and others. By the way, the smaller, browner Tonic looks great on your page! Colin MacLaurin 06:14, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
