Disputed fair use rationale for File:International Media Distribution.PNG

Thank you for uploading File:International Media Distribution.PNG. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:

• That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
• That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. Speedy deletion nomination of File:EuroWorld Sport.PNG

A tag has been placed on File:EuroWorld Sport.PNG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Recent TV channel Edits

Hi GateKeeper07, about your recent edits to various Canadian TV channel articles, I thought I would message you before I edit them as to not have a back and forth of reverting eachother's edits, and maybe come to a conclusion on what to do together.

I have a few issues. For one, in your edits, you've added dedicated HD channel sections to articles, such as Mlle, and I'm suggesting that there isn't any need to have those sections in those articles because, like Mlle, it launched in both SD and HD at the same time, so I don't think there is a need for such a section because it wasn't a special event that happened at a later date unlike a channel such as Food Network, where it was in SD for many years, and launched a HD channel in 2011. Second, in those articles with HD sections, you list a number of the major TV providers that carry the HD channel, I'm suggesting not to mention that because there are likely many other smaller BDUs that carry the HD channel, and listing only some of them makes in seem as though the major ones are the only ones that carry it, which isn't the case for many, and also, the infobox can be used for purpose anyways just like it is for the SD feed. Also, adding certain BDUs just makes things more complicated and requires frequent maintenance to update the list which is unnecessary. So, let me know what your thoughts are.musimax. Well, my apologies if I offended you in any way for doing the edits to the multicultural channel articles, but I was just trying to beef up the article with additional content so it isn't as small and keep things as neutral as possible.

Let me use one of the articles for example. For Filmy, I added the History section to beef up the article and add what I think is notable content on its history, which is something I've been doing for awhile with other articles as well. Also, in this original statement in the article "Filmy is a popular film channel from India. It airs hit blockbuster Bollywood movies, music programs and other Bollywood film based programming in Hindi." This sort of makes it sound as if you're talking about the Indian channel, not the Canadian channel, and also things like "hit" and "blockbuster" is probably best to stay away from because it is sort of POV-ish and it may not even be true, like is every film they air really considered a "hit" or a "blockbuster"? It's kind of like TVtropolis' slogan "Hit TV Lives Here". Sure, they say for marketing and promotional reasons, that they air "hit" TV series, but not all they're programs are really hits. So, just IMO, I think things like that are best to stay away from as much as possible. But keep editing, your contributions here are very valuable. Well, I have to disagree with most of that. I think the history sections are valuable. First, it beefs up the article in which case would be nothing more than a couple sentences, and it provides references to articles that would not have any references. Secondly, it provides history on how the channel came to be and how, if any, the channel differs from what it was originally intended to be, etc. Channel histories encompass more than simply programming and name or ownership changes. Third, all other articles, well generally most of them do, have a history section and mention much of the same type of content, so these should be no different.

And about the descriptions, the articles are about the Canadian channels, not about their foreign counterparts, so the information should be relating to the Canadian channel. It's like G4, we don't just carbon copy the US channel's description for the Canadian channel, so these multicultural channels should be no different. And whether they emphasis the fact that they are Canadian doesn't make any difference. If that's the case, why even create an article for the Canadian channel?
