Welcome![edit]

Hello, Tancardinal, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Note[edit]

Hi! I'm not sure what your article topics will be, but if you're interested in the Olympics you can check out some of the articles in this category: Category:Olympics stubs. There are even stubs specific to the 2008 Summer Olympics: Category:2008 Summer Olympics stubs. My only caution is that some of the Olympic articles are of Good or Featured Article status, which means that they're among the most comprehensive and well written articles on Wikipedia. As such, it's going to be harder to expand the articles and it's even more important that you read over and participate in talk page discussions. I will say that the legacy section on the 2008 Summer Olympics page does need expansion, though. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 19:18, 8 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
