Some of your images or media files have been listed for deletion. Please see Wikipedia:Files for deletion/2009 May 17 if you are interested in preserving them. Thank you. Taylor Karras (talk) 12:48, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:17 Batman and Vicki Vale.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:17 Batman and Vicki Vale.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:22, 18 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

May 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Terminator (franchise) do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. TreyGeek (talk) 23:02, 23 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Hill Valley (Back to the Future). We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hill Valley (Back to the Future). Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:11, 27 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Template:Star Trek: Phase II has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for Deletion page. Thank you. Garion96 (talk) 10:42, 31 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Tron at LLNL[edit]

You added a link to the Template:Tron on LLNL page. Is there some reason? None of the links in that box seem to pertain to Livermore Lab. Perhaps it would be more appropriate to place a link to Tron that describes the connection. Sligocki (talk) 17:37, 3 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:BaseballABC's_Wide_World_of_Sports.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:BaseballABC's_Wide_World_of_Sports.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Rettetast (talk) 22:56, 7 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nightmare Cast Members[edit]

Hello, are you familiar with WikiTables? If so, I am improving the List of A Nightmare on Elm Street films cast members page here. Once it is entirely finished I am going to move it to the page. You're welcome to help out if you are familiar with the table. Thank You! ---Scarce |||| You shouldn't have buried me, I'm not dead--- 00:16, 24 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Ratings for The NHL on FOX[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Ratings for The NHL on FOX, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Wikipedia is not a directory

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. July 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page The Real Ghostbusters do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to List of The Real Ghostbusters episodes. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by some search engines, including Google. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 07:50, 5 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated List of people banned from Saturday Night Live, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of people banned from Saturday Night Live. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

AfD nomination of Jessica Sierra[edit]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Jessica Sierra. NBA/NHL Finals Series[edit]

I realize that certain articles have not been created. I need your input on this. Should we have individual articles for the following, or a redirect to the arena that hosted these during these respective years:

After I created the articles that pertain to 1992 and 1994, they were nominated for deletion, so I redirected them to the articles for the respective arenas that hosted them. SNIyer12, (talk), 14:07, 29 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your plagiarism[edit]

Please refrain from further plagiarizing, as you did with your 2008 March 15 edit to the Godzilla article (plagiarized from Rodan's Roost: Kaiju Scrap-yard: Godzilla vs. the Gryphon). This is an unacceptable level of commonality between the passages in question (it's verbatim, or close to it). I'm not sure whether you've done the same with other articles, but you should be able to redact any other plagiarized passages yourself. -- C. A. Russell (talk) 16:21, 7 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:WM12-0005E.JPG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. Stanley Cup Finals Broadcasters[edit]

I try to keep details about local broadcasters on the templates where I put the details about local broadcasters earlier. It is necessary that info is there. I saw that SportsChannel America rebroadcast the third period of the 1991 NHL All-Star Game. That's why I try to put the local broadcasters in. Can we create a template for the local broadcasters for the Stanley Cup Finals? -- SNIyer12, (talk), 02:54, 15 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Good point about what you said about the template for the local broadcasters. Yes, we need to have that template for local broadcasters. I wanted to add the local broadcasters to the national templates to remind the readers about what broadcasters had the Stanley Cup Finals. -- SNIyer12, (talk), 11:48, 15 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have already created a template with the local broadcasters and put them on the right pages -- SNIyer12, (talk), 15:44, 15 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

World Series MVP[edit]

I never said that the talk page had a discussion on linking season years; the link I provided in the edit summary did. Do not put words in my mouth. I am not enforcing my point of view, I am implementing a consensus reached by a WikiProject. If you want to discuss, use the article talk. Do not discuss through edit summaries, whether you agree or not. I have provided rationales for my reverts; you have not. If anyone is "enforcing a point of view", it is you. Please discuss. KV5 (TalkPhils) 01:25, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Consensus does not have to be achieved at an article talk page. A WikiProject related to an article or series of articles can achieve consensus just as easily, which is what happened here. Further, I don't see what pertinence your quote of my words has to this discussion; it's completely unrelated. Please use the article talk if you wish to discuss the issue further. The user talk pages are not the place to discuss a content issue. KV5 (TalkPhils) 01:33, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
If you have a point to make, please use the article talk. I will not discuss content disputes on my user talk page. I don't want to have to move a discussion or have conversations going at multiple locations. KV5 (TalkPhils) 01:41, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
If you don't want to discuss your concerns on the article talk, I have no choice but to assume that silence equals consensus and remove the piped links again. KV5 (TalkPhils) 11:41, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Just a note: If he's reverting you still, then WP:SILENCE mentions that that's not consensus... Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry (talk) 19:13, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I was not the one who refused to utilize the article talk; I have started a thread that received no response. I have also stopped reverting, if you'd check the history. TMC1982, if you are simply not discussing because the reversions have stopped on your preferred version, that's not any way to achieve a consensus. Your assertion that you have provided your rationale doesn't hold water, because my user talk page is not to place to provide that information. If your rationale is to be considered, it needs to be placed on the article talk page, per WP:TALK. KV5 (TalkPhils) 12:26, 18 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I hate to say it, but as irritating as it is that he's providing the information on your talk page, he is still providing it. TMC1982, could you please correspond on the article's talk page, or let me know the reason you won't? Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry (talk) 13:03, 18 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
And yet, because he's refusing to use the article talk, he's ignoring the side of the argument including an already-established consensus and not responding to it. KV5 (TalkPhils) 00:25, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

OTRS[edit]

I've just received an OTRS email about you harassing another user in summer this year, to the point of forcing them off the project. Just a heads up that you need to remain civil on WP; a few administrators are keeping an eye on your edits to make sure they don't cause problems for others.
