Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons

Hi there, I don't want to discourage you, but please note that Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons is one of our featured articles, and so has already been through a pretty thorough peer-review process in the last year or so; I notice a few of your recent additions appears to contradict some of the information in the references, and you seem to be highlighting these differences in the actual article body, which looks a little confusing. I was wondering whether if you see any mistakes in the article, you might be able to bring them up on the talk page first, please? For example, you claim these puppets didn't use strings, yet just looking at [1] reveals your information is incorrect, so I'm automatically a little dubious about some of the other details you have added. Adding to the previous comment, I feel that there is equally strong evidence to the contrary to be found in File:CaptainScarletPuppets.ogg: if you pause the recording roughly 25 seconds into the clip - at which time there is a brief close-up shot of the face of the Captain Blue puppet - thin, dark strings can be seen extending from the top of the head. Stop changing the Weak interaction article without discussing the changes in the talk page

clearly you think that you understand this topic, but you don't. For example, you insist in writing that the short range of the weak interaction is due to the short lifetime of the weak gauge bosons, but this is simply wrong. The short range of the interaction is due to the large mass of the bosons. Similarly, you keep writing that the quarks emit a boson and lose mass and charge, but this is nonsense. Mass and charge are intrinsic properties of quarks and leptons, they cannot "lose" them. Rather, they are turned into different quarks and leptons. At some point you also wrote that the interaction is short range because it is much weaker than the strong or electromagnetic interaction. That is also nonsense, think for example of gravity: it is much weaker than the weak interaction but still it has long range. I tried to explain this to you both in my edit summaries and in the talk page, but you simply ignored the explanations. I am reverting all of your last changes, before thinking of reinstating them once again please try to argue for them in the talk page. Cheers, Ptrslv72 (talk) 01:05, 19 March 2011 (UTC)

Hi, I'm Stephen Poppitt. Just thought I'd add a little background to this topic. I created this page because I actually knew James Casey personally, during his lifetime - while he was touring the variety circuit following his retirement from the BBC. Jim Casey had been the BBC's senior light entertainment producer in Manchester, from the mid-1950s until 1983, and Bob Oliver Rogers was one of his staff producers in the Seventies. Also, I actually heard many of the 1970s radio broadcasts which Bob produced (as well as many Jim produced), which I detail on the page. So I reminisce about BBC Manchester, and Bob's career, from first hand experience -- without the need for that much-despised item, "research"! Because there are still very few sources about the history of BBC radio comedy, I thought it appropriate to record here some of my memories of Bob's meteoric career, which was so sadly brief.

Hello, I'm Zackmann08. Thank you for your recent contributions to James Casey (variety artist). I noticed that when you added the image to the infobox, you added it as a thumbnail. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks!
