@Jamiebuba hey, thanks for the feedback, but I'm not clear on the reasoning. None of the references provided are just passing mentions -- each are features entirely about the artist or about one of her projects. There are also many more articles on this subject, just not ones which fit into the citation context of a bio. A recent feature on her new film in Variety Magazine, as an example. I'd appreciate a second look at the article as I'm not sure this feedback is appropriate for the citations provided and for the general media coverage of the subject. 2001:818:E81D:C000:8547:EDAE:5E4E:B56A (talk) 20:49, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Interviews with the subject of the article are of no use in establishing notability. We don't care what the subject says about themselves; instead we need to know what independent reliable sources say about them. - David Biddulph (talk) 12:19, 11 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for that clarification. Could you please review the sources on the article to clarify whether these do in fact not qualify? These are not just interviews, but articles on the subject by independent and reliable sources, some of them major in the film industry. This subject has been written about extensively so if there are any articles which you'd like to flag, I can take a look and find an appropriate replacement to your standards, or remove the statement in the article. Thank you so much for your help with this. Ss prod (talk) 12:24, 11 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thank you for your review. I wonder if you could provide some further clarity for me? For reference, here is a Wikipedia article for another Canadian filmmaker, which has less significant coverage than the article I am submitting. Can you please tell me the difference between the two and how I can correct my submission? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthony_Shim Ss prod (talk) 12:47, 11 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
