Copyvios and speedy deletion tagging[edit]

Hi there. This is with respect to the article Esperanto (progressive rock band). You should be aware that if an article contains some material that is a copyright violation, and some other material, then it's usually ok to simply remove the copyright violation material and leave the rest. Articles should only be tagged for speedy deletion for containing copyright violation material if they have never contained anything else (that is, if there's nothing else there that can be saved).

You can use the edit history to check what earlier versions of the article contained. --bainer (talk) 06:03, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

ANI notice[edit]

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. -DePiep (talk) 00:06, 7 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article JWChat has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No significant coverage in reliable sources independent of topic — notability of topic is not established. The only source that actually speaks of this software is an article in Linux.com, which is insufficient alone.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — Dmitrij D. Nomination of JWChat for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article JWChat is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/JWChat (2nd nomination) until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. — Dmitrij D. Czarkoff (talktrack) 08:39, 3 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
